October 14, 1932 – February 25, 2025
Peggy Ann Nicholas, beloved mother, devoted wife, and cherished grandmother, passed away
peacefully on March 25, 2025. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Peggy’s warmth, kindness,
and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew her.
She met the love of her life, Isaac L. Nicholas, while attending Ohio State University, where she
remained a lifelong supporter. The two married on June 9, 1951, and shared a beautiful life
together until Isaac’s passing in 2016.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Linda Byrne (Dennis), and her son, Steve Nicholas (Kathy).
She was a proud grandmother to Kiersten and Holly Nicholas and a loving great-grandmother to
Anderson and Emma.
With a strong sense of community and compassion, Peggy dedicated much of her life to serving
others. She was actively involved in Stephen Ministries, her church in Illinois and Tennessee,
various volunteer efforts, always offering kindness and support to those in need. Her faith was
the foundation of her strength and generosity.
Professionally, Peggy had a long and successful career with Cooper Aviation, where she worked
for over 30 years in various roles, including secretary, customer service, accounts receivable, and
executive support. Even in her later years, she remained active and vibrant, modeling for Chico’s
up until the age of 91.
Peggy was a true friend to many, always nurturing relationships with warmth and sincerity. Her
legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A memorial service honoring Peggy’s life will be held on Thursday, April 3 at Christus Victor
Lutheran Church with visitation at 9:00-11AM followed by a service at 11AM. Donations may
be made to Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 1045 South Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove
Village IL 60007.
