Maurine was an interesting and engaging person with a colorful personality. Maurine was also a good listener who enjoyed helping others. She was a licensed clinical professional counselor employed by Lutheran Social Services in Chicago and in later years was in private practice in Marengo, Illinois.
Maurine loved animals, particularly her dachshunds, and enjoyed living in the country with her sister Linda and dear friend Cora for over 40 years surrounded by nature.
Maurine passed away in Rockford Illinois on August 12, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack, her mother, Anne, and her sister Linda.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann’s Episcopal Church, 503 Jackson Street, Woodstock Illinois.
