Martin Appel, aged 84, of Palatine, IL, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024. Born on May 28, 1940 in Yugoslavia, he came to the United States in 1955. He met Katharina at age 18 and married her in 1961. They celebrated their 63rd anniversary in September.
Martin was a man deeply rooted in family values and community service. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, intellect, and a profound dedication to his loved ones.
