Linda R Safyan

She is survived by her husband, Paul, of 33 years, her stepson Brian Safyan and his family, wife Katie and grandtwins Mike and Emily. In addition, she remains the love of her niece Amy (Mike Baker) of Bridgman Michigan, nephew Blake Mathews, and nephew Reagen Mathews.

Linda was born in Miami Florida. She was pre-deceased by her father Robert Register and Goldie Jones Register and by her elder sisters Naomi and Margaret.

Linda spent many years living near her mother and her sister in St. Joseph Michigan, Memphis Tennessee, and Pensacola Florida where her brother-in-law Jack Mathews mustered out of a career in the navy. She met Paul in St. Joseph Michigan.

Linda graduated cum laude from Memphis University. She spent much of her career as a librarian or working as an aid in several bookstores. Her love of reading, pop music and books were boundless. In the past two decades she became a dedicated Harry Potter fan, collecting memorabilia, clothing, Chatzky’s and other materials. She also enjoyed mysteries of all kinds and could read more than one at once.

Plans for a memorial service will be forthcoming.

She was known to be the sweetest, kindest person possible wherever she went.
