Les Keag was a true embodiment of passion, kindness and dedication. A proud Fenwick Friar and 1972 graduate of Elmhurst College, Les carried his love of learning and connection with him throughout his life.
An avid Chicago sports fan, he was unwavering in his support for his beloved Bears, White Sox, Blackhawks and Bulls. His love for college sports ran just as deep, proudly cheering for the Indiana Hoosiers, Wisconsin Badgers and North Central Cardinals. Les brought the same enthusiasm to every game, whether it was watching from the stands, his favorite chair at home or chatting with someone who shared his sports loyalties.

Among their favorite destinations were Italy, Normandy, Norway, Ireland and Florida—places where Les found endless joy in learning, exploring and absorbing history.
Above all else, Les treasured his family. He found his greatest happiness in moments spent with Debbie, his two sons, his daughter and his six beloved grandchildren. Family gatherings were his most precious times, filled with laughter, love and cherished memories that will live on in their hearts forever.
A dedicated youth sports coach, Les not only guided his own children on the field but also made an enduring impact on countless young lives. He was admired and respected by every athlete he mentored, embodying the values of sportsmanship, perseverance and encouragement.
Les had a gift for connection. Whether it was a stranger wearing an IU or UW hat, a friend sharing his love for sports or his time volunteering with Meals on Wheels, he always made time to strike up a conversation and create meaningful bonds. His warmth and genuine interest in others left an indelible mark on everyone he met.
Les Keag was liked by all who knew him. His legacy is one of love, generosity and a life lived fully and passionately. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by the many lives he touched.
