Leroy Doctor

11/8/1929 – 7/14/2023

Passed away peacefully at age 93.

Lee was born in Chicago and received his MD from Northwestern University. He practiced internal medicine in Skokie until his retirement in 1994. He was an accomplished classical pianist, and loved gardening, hiking, cooking and travel.

He is survived by his beloved wife Peggy. He was the father of Bruce (Gail) Doctor, Jenny (Steve Ferre) Doctor, Anne Doctor, and the late Steve (Denise) Doctor; step-father of Meganwind Eoyang & Loren (Michael) Walley; grandfather of Lynne (Eric Gibbons) Doctor, Michael (Yelena Kreymer) Doctor, Jacob Bodinger and Leah Bodinger; Shawn (Tracey Stevens) Bridgeman, Ian (Jessica) Bridgeman, Ashley (Trevor) Secord, and Ryan (Lauren Sustaita) Walley; great-grandfather of nine.

He enjoyed warm friendships with Mike & Ilze Valente, Kathy Rundell, Connie and David Wojtowicz, Bill and Suzanne Coons, and many others.
