Born on May 31, 1941, in Oak Park, Illinois, Judy lived a life rooted in love for her family and community. Judy was the beloved daughter of Gladys and John Behrendt and shared a close bond with her sister, Christy Reynolds and brother-in-law, Carroll Reynolds. Judy is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Christy (Robert) Ciecko and her son, John (Julie) Johnson. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandsons: Brandon (Melissa Richards) Ciecko, Derek (Ashley) Ciecko, Zach (Jeff Steele) Johnson, and Josh (Ally) Johnson. She also leaves behind 3 great grandchildren who brought her immense joy, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John H. Johnson, with whom she shared a life of joys and enduring commitment.
A women of quiet strength and deep passion, Judy found fulfillment in the simple yet profound joys of life – especially time spent with family. Her love for painting reflected her created spirit and offered a window into the beauty she saw in the world around her. Judy was an active member of Park Ridge Community Church and gave her time as a volunteer for Rainbow Hospice. May Judy Johnson’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
