James Edward Richardson

James Edward Richardson of Elgin, IL passed away on Thursday, August 27th, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born on August 17th, 1939, in Batavia, IL where he grew up. He lived on the east side before moving to the west side near the quarry in 1944. He was a passionate and talented long distance runner for track and field during his teenage and early adult life.

He worked as a molder in the foundry with his father, as a salesman, and as an insurance pre-licensing instructor for his own self-run business.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward James Richardson, and his mother Charlotte Roberta Everhart.

He is survived by his siblings Susan Dobson and Jack Richardson, his children Kimberly Rudolph, Jaclyn Richardson, James Richardson, Veronica Regino, and by Luz.
