

Born on December 11, 1930, in Perry, Iowa, Jack was the beloved son of John and Helen Palmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Watson, and her husband, Robert.
Jack's family later moved to the Chicago area, where he graduated from Tuley High School. Shortly after graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army from January 1952 to July 1953, including service during the Korean War.
Throughout his life, Jack worked in several professions. He owned a cleaning business, worked as a roofer, and ultimately retired from United Airlines Ramp Maintenance. A man of many talents and interests, Jack was a gifted artist who created numerous beautiful black-and-white sketches over the years. He also enjoyed cooking, running, solving puzzles, and reading. Known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, he brought joy and laughter to those around him.
Above all, Jack cherished his family. He took great pride in his children: Colleen Good (Gary), Sharon Martens (Greg), Pam Palmer (Patrick Grady), Julie Neal, and Josh Neal (Claire). He especially treasured the time he spent with his 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, who brought him immense happiness throughout his life.
Jack will be remembered for his devotion to family, his creativity, his sense of humor, and the kindness he shared with all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
