Jack Eugene Burns

Jack Burns, age 84, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 4, 2023. Born and raised in Rockford, he married Sandra Lee Anderson on May 23, 1959 and they raised their family in Rockford. Jack loved to reminisce on his four years in the U.S. Navy in Texas, his 30 year career on the Rockford Fire Department, and cherished and fun memories with family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his children, DeeAnne (Michael) Cleary, Shaun (Debra) Burns, and Treasure (Jamie) Bock and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jack is pre-deceased by his wife, Sandra, his parents Lloyd and Genevieve Burns, and his brother James Robert Burns.

A private Celebration of Life was held by family and close friends. Special gratitude and thanks to staff and friends at Bickford of Rockford, Sunset Memorial Gardens and Neptune Society.
