Helen is survived by her husband Glenn Scoggins, Son Tom Tillman, Daughter Carole Taipalus(John), Daughter Theresa Fowler(Mike), 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, Sister Carole Andrew and Brother Ted Andrew. Helen Was born in Clearwater , FL but was raised in Andover, Massachusetts which led to her being a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox baseball and New England Patriots football teams.
She has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from George Williams College in Downers Grove, IL. She had careers in recreation and corporate travel management and in 2001 retired as the Director of Corporate Travel for Comdisco-a Technology Company in Rosemont, IL.
Helen loved to travel. She especially loved adventure travel, including a horseback safari to Africa, a western cattle drive, a Wyoming wagon train trip and a visit to the Galapagos Islands. One of her passions was horseback riding. She enjoyed many summer visits to Cheyenne to attend the annual Frontier Days events. She loved Alaska, especially cruising there, and had many annual trips to Anchorage for the start of the Iditarod Dog Sled Race. She enjoyed attending musical theater and opera performances.
Helen had an enthusiasm and zeal for life and her personality was infections; bringing joy to all around her. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Helen will be cremated by the Neptune Society and there will be no service.
