Elizabeth Anne Hampton

Born on July 24th, 1959, in Peoria IL, Anne was the daughter of Andrew and Lenore Hampton. She graduated from Springfield High School and went on to earn a degree in Fashion from Southern Illinois University. Anne worked as a “Mall Manager” at the helm of shopping centers from El Paso to Chicago to Miami.

Anne was an active member of the Chicago Chapter of the DAR, attended Sandals Church and enjoyed volunteering at Bryn Mawr Care, with Missio Dei Uptown Church. She was also a devoted Team Member for Sandals Church Soul Care Online Campus and her impact drew many out of isolation and into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. She loved fashion, music, caring for others, and joyful dancing.

Anne is survived by her brother Andrew Paul Hampton, sister Janice Lynn Hampton, daughter Lauren Elise Gamache and son-in-law Matthew Brian Gamache. She is also survived by grandchildren Elias Matthew Gamache, Aaron Micah Gamache, and Madeleine Grace Gamache.

A memorial service will be held at Missio Dei Wrigleyville Church, 1242 W Addison Street in Chicago on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Lunch will follow, catered by Anne’s favorite Chicago Spot, Flacos Tacos.

While our faces are tear-strewn and our hearts are broken, we know that she is wrapped in boundless love, thriving in the great fields of Heaven.
