Edward was born in Chicago in 1954. He attended elementary school at Saint Juliana in Chicago and high school at Notre Dame in Morton Grove. His family moved to Wisconsin so Ed’s last year of high school was at Adams Friendship High School. He was proud, and boasted of being on the football team at Notre Dame. Ed moved back to Illinois.
Edward was very responsible and always held a job. As a teenager he worked in the kitchen at Bethany Terrace Nursing Home in Morton Grove, he was employed with UPS in Franklin Park from 1974 to 1997, and then went back to his trade as a Carpenter with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union Local 10 and then retired. After he retired, he still worked part-time at Circle K for over 6 years.
He loved spending time at the cottage in Wisconsin, enjoyed nature, animals, and loved being outdoors. Fishing and bird watching were among his favorites. Ed had a lot of patience to do small repairs and remodeling projects.
He was a good man with a gentle heart and a proud father and grandfather.
