I was very saddened to hear of Ed's passing.  He was such a shining light everyday at Fel-Pro.  He never, ever missed an opportunity to ask about me and my family with genuine interest and caring.  What a special and inspiring man he was!

Ed was one of those that served as the glue to hold together the group of Fel Pro retirees that  meet at the Breakfast gathering. Dear Janet & family,
It is with my deepest sympathy on the passing of Ed.  You could not have asked for a greater boss for the many years we worked together.  For 25 years he kept in touch with me.  He fought hard through so many health issues.  There are no words to express the loss to your family.  Please know you are in my thoughts during the difficult days ahead.

Ed and I spent many years working for a fantastic company.  We enjoyed many sports together such as bowling and of course softball for Fel-Pro.  You could not ask for a friendlier or a more pleasant person than Ed.  I will not only remember him for all his homeruns that he hit, but for the everyday friendship we had.

I can not express how much your going to be missed. I am so glad I married into the Mitchell Family, it gave me time to chat out side of Fel-Pro, Your memory is REMARKABLE! Janet said a while ago,Ed has a better social life than I do  She was nearly right.  Ed lived fully as a friend; a gatherer; his spirit was unparalleled.  One very busy friend of his told his secretary, Whenever Ed Jacobs calls, put him though.  Ed was that important to him.  Our love to Janet and all the Jacobs family.  You had the best of husbands and the best of Dads, Granddads and uncles.

Uncle Ed you will be missed so much! Your  AMAZING memory will also be missed. When I'd see your name and number on my caller ID, I knew you were calling to see how I and the family were doing. I want to Thank You from the bottom of my heart for Making me what I am today. You have tought me how to kind to people, Honor and respect!
