Doris H Ringstrom

RINGSTROM Doris H Ringstrom, 87, died suddenly on Feb 22. She was born June 24, 1929 in Chicago. She met the love of her life, Helmer Ringstrom when they were sophmores at Lake View H.S. in Chicago. They were blessed with 67 yrs of marriage. Cherished mother of Terry (Rod) Antrim, Tobey Black, Tina (Tony Lee) Krizmanich, Trudy Salvador and Sven (Terri) Ringstrom. Loving grandmother of Eric and Ryan Antrim, Matt (Erin) Black, Brittany (Scott) Allen, Carly (Joe Altieri) Krizmanich, Alyssa (Mat) Spencer, Kyle (Megan Thibodeaux) Krizmanich, Isabel and Michael Salvador, Ava and Brody Ringstrom and great-grandmother of Reagan, Riley, Sean and Jacob. Dear sister of Janice Rubin, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Christine Faller, and her sister Barbara Massmann. Prior to having children she was an administrative assistant at Bordeaux Products, and spent the remainder of her life as a homemaker, as well as volunteering at Armstrong Elementary School and Victory Hospital. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She relished time spent with her loved ones, chatting and sharing memories. Doris enjoyed playing board games, cards and dancing spontaneously. She was also an avid reader. In her earlier years she enjoyed being by the water, playing tennis and going for walks. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 11:00am March 11th at Chandler's 401 N Roselle Rd. Schaumburg, IL 60194 with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers memorials to the MIsercordia Home would be greatly appreciated.
