She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John C. Palmer, Jr. Dawn is survived by her sister, Diane Lynn; her daughter, Diane Bukowski, nee Palmer; and her grandson, Ethan Bukowski.
Dawn grew up in the Washington, D.C. area and attended Goucher College and George Washington University. She moved to Chicago with John in 1963-64 and considered Chicago to be home. Dawn was very active in sailboat racing, The Lyric Opera of Chicago, The Goodman Theater, and events with various alumni and social groups. She and John were always out and about!
Dawn worked in Information Systems as a computer programmer for over 30 years, most notably for Marshall Fields.
While she will be missed, it is a comfort to know that Dawn is at peace and reunited with John.
