Claudia Jean Heneghan

She was born on December 19, 1945 in Chicago, and raised in Westmont, IL.

Claudia is preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Heneghan; brothers, James (Gene) Graham, Richard Graham; and sisters, Sylvia Smith, Gloria McCullough, and Dale Beasley.

She is survived by her brother, Robert (Liz) Graham; sister, Linda Hertog; sons, William (Paula) Heneghan, and Robert Heneghan; daughters Michelle (John) Cobb, and Jennifer (Walter) Pretzer; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Claudia graduated from Downers Grove High School and later from cosmetology school. She was married to her husband Bill for 48 years until his passing.

Claudia enjoyed baking, bowling, camping, crocheting, playing bingo and loved to read. Her children remember her singing along to songs on the radio, her home cooked meals especially her brown rice casserole and baking cinnamon rolls. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Claudia was described by many as sweet, gentle and kind, not to be confused with her immeasurable strength.

Family and friends are invited to a mass in her honor at 10:00am on Oct 21st, 2023, at Holy Ghost Church in Wood Dale, IL. Private Celebration of Life to follow at La Barra, Oakbrook, IL.
