

Chuck is a NAVY veteran (1958-1962) and served on destroyers out of the east coast. Born in 1939, Chuck grew up in Butler, PA before entering the NAVY. He married Patricia, nee Donash Grystar on April 20, 1963. They lived in Mt. Prospect, IL and have two daughters, Suzanne (Bob) Curran and Diana Budge. Chuck and Pat retired to Lac Du Flambeau, WI in 1997. His love of the woods, hunting and fishing will long be remembered by everyone who knew him, especially his grandchildren whom he taught to navigate the lakes and woods of Northern Wisconsin. Chuck enjoyed showing them how to make syrup from the trees each spring and taught each of them to fish, shoot and appreciate the woods and outdoors. He was an avid and skilled game hunter.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Patricia; their daughters; grandchildren: Jeremy and Taylor Curran and Brendan and Lindsey Budge; sister, Carole (Ron) Fudoli; and their children, Doug and Joelle (Campbell); and his brother's children, Brian and Lindsay Grystar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary, nee Olen and Charles Grystar; brother, Edward (Lynn) Grystar; and son-in-law, Bob Curran. Chuck had a mutual love with all of the family’s dogs. He was a favorite donut and ice cream sharer to Gavin, Oscar, Boomer and Diva.
