It is with profound sadness that the Alba Family announces the peaceful passing of Cesar at the age of 75 on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.
Cesar was survived by his only son, Derrick Alba and Derrick’s mother, Josephine. His deceased parents were Miguel E. Alba and Felicidad Mercado Alba. His siblings were: Leonida (Dr. Inocencio Ligon), Maria Carolina (Miguel Luz), Miguel Alba, Jr (Cristina Marie), Xavier (Divinity), Ted (Maria Luisa), Yolanda (Graham Prosser), Emmanuel (Jocelyn), Teresita (Clay Anderson), Anna Gina (Michael Yukich) and Cecilia Jackson. Cesar was also blessed with eight (8) nephews, ten (10) nieces, eight (8) grandnephews, five (5) grandnieces who deeply miss him.
Cesar was born in the Philippines and resided in Chicago for a good number of years. He was employed by Chicago Northwestern Railroad which was later acquired by Union Pacific Railroad in 1995. He moved to St. Louis, Missouri to join Union Pacific Railroad and retired in the year 2000.
Private Viewing for the family was held in Drake & Sons Funeral Homes at 5303 N Western Ave., Chicago, Ill. Mass was also held at St. Clement’s Church in 642 W. Deming Place, Chicago, Ill. on November 21, 2017.
His remains have been cremated by Neptune Society.
