William Eugene Prather

October 14, 1944 - September 16, 2018

Born in Hayward, CA and raised his family in Dublin and Fremont, CA Blessed to be married to Dixie the love of his life for 45 years Retired to their dream home in Grass Valley, CA 2001-2012 Moved to Dayton, NV 2012-2018 He was in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic from 1962-1966 Right after the service he started Working for United Airlines in San Francisco as Sheet Metal mechanic and senior staff Engineer for 35 years. He loved his job and made many life long friends there. they nicknamed him, " Billy P "

Bill loved fishing with his buddies, barbecuing for family and friends. He loved to go camping and waterskiing. He was an avid craftsmen, and made many wood projects for family and friends. He also loved to garden.

He is survived by a large family devoted and loving husband to his wife Dixie Prather for 45 years. Loving father to his 7 children , Judy Heldt (Eric), Pat Boot (Kim), Tim Boot, Darlene Ruiz (Ray), Bill Prather (Wendy), Kelly Boot (Dino), Shawna Stroud (Jeff). Beloved Papa who adored his 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild also survived by many niece and nephews Dearly loved by his brother Albert Prather and sister Delma Kobel.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents William Albert Prather and Sarah Viola Prather
