Raymond Howard Snyder

Raymond Howard Snyder, born June 17, 1958 in Las Cruces NM, passed away suddenly in Reno, Nevada January 22, 2024.

Ray leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Valerie Snyder; daughter, Samantha McCulley (Jory); and sister, Linda Dernancourt (Dale).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Dorothy Snyder; and brother, Dave.

Ray's family moved to Concord, CA in 1961, where he graduated from Concord High School in 1976. As a teenager he got a job at Fritz's Meats where he worked for over 20 years as a butcher setting up a lifetime profession finally retiring in 2020 from Diablo Foods.

Ray and Valerie met in 1991 bowling and from that day to his last, they were rarely apart. After meeting in Concord, they moved to Pittsburg for 28 years and, once retired, they moved to Stagecoach, NV to be closer to Samantha. Ray loved his family, being retired, working around the house, and just loved life..

Arrangements are being handled by the Neptune Society of Reno, no services pending.
