Neil Flanders

Born in Pacifica, CA, Neil moved to Truckee at 5 years old. He attended Truckee Elementary and graduated from Truckee High School in 2000. He attended and graduated from Wyotech and eventually went to Welding School where he became a certified tig welder specializing in aerospace and FFA certifications.

Neil when asked, would describe himself with this quote “I am a man who loves a woman, 2 dogs, and enjoying God's country in our Jeep. Simple...”

Neil was the walking definition of a heart of gold. He loved so deeply and would give his all to anyone in need. His passion for off-roading and being outdoors in nature was legendary. He was a champion for life and living it to the fullest. Neil was always able to see the best in people and would encourage you to fight for your dreams.

The love he held for his wife transcended time, soul mates who had 12 amazing years together.

Beloved Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Nephew, his legacy will live on in our hearts forever.

Neil is survived by his beloved wife Heidi Flanders, His wonderful Mother Doreen Flanders, His amazing sister and brother in law Emily & Ryan Greenwood, his adored nephew Ethan Greenwood, his Aunts Debbie Carrara and Diane Carrara, and his grandmother Dorothy Carrara. Neil was preceded in death by his wonderful father Michael Flanders and Grandfather Angelo Carrara.
