10/6/1943 - 8/1/2026
On August 1, 2026 Kathy L Maciosek, of Sparks, Nevada went for a walk with Jesus into heaven.
Kathy was born in El Segundo, Ca to Paul Westover and Cynthi Gillie on Oct. 6, 1943. She is survived by her husband Mike (married 8/7/99), brothers Stan (Dana) Gillie of Las Vegas, NV, Rob Gillie of WI,and Chad (Jean) Westover, of Provo, UT, sisters Polly (Colin) Smith of Provo UT, and Tracy (Jim) Robison of Provo, UT. Kathy is also survived by her 5 children: Laura (Mike) Dresbach of Sparks, NV, Danielle (Brian) Shank of Elizabethtown, PA, David (Angie) Forwood of Manheim, PA, Mike Voyels of Ventura, CA, and Julie (Kevin) Matteson of Eldorado Hills, CA,, and 13 GRAND children, 6 GREAT grand children (with more on the way). She was blessed by all of them.
Kathy was always involved with her church, Bible study groups, visiting friends in assisted living homes, and helping out. She loved sewing and reading, traveling (to Oregon Coast, etc.), camping, and visiting relatives. But what really brought a smile to her face was seeing family together. And her grandkids and great grandkids always brought a twinkle to her eyes as she watched them and engaged them in fun “projects”.
A Celebration of Kathy’s Life will be held September 12, at 11 AM, at Victory Christian Fellowship, 9744 South Virginia St. #D, Reno, NV, with a potluck to follow. It will also be live-streamed on U Tube (See VCF Reno). https://www.youtube.com/@vcfreno1414
