She was 101 years old.
She was born in Marseille, France in June 1924.
She is predeceased by her husband, Edmond Menache who died in 1998 and her daughter, Monique Estrayer who died in 2018.
She is survived by her loving son, Jacques Menache of Carrboro, North Carolina; grandchildren, Nick Menache of California, James Menache of Hillsborough, North Carolina, Eric Estrayer, and Leslie Estrayer both of France; great grandchildren, Niko and Moxie Menache, Julien and Antoine Estrayer, and Arthur Nersessian; and a great great grandchild, Gabriel.
Suzy and her family lived in France since after World War II, then in Mexico City from 1956 to 1974. Edmond and Suzy moved back to France in 1974 where they ran a clothing shop in Aix en Provence. In the 80's, they moved to Chapel Hill, NC to retire and be with their son, Jacques.
Suzy was a dress designer in Mexico, learned book-binding, watercolor painting, and was an avid Canasta player. She was always interested in fashion and the arts. She loved flowers and hummingbirds and more than anything, her independence.
