Richard "Dick" William Gleason

Richard "Dick" William Gleason of Littleton, NC passed away on November 27, 2025 at the age of 92. He was born on June 3, 1933 in Newark, NJ, where he grew up with his mother, Lora Morehouse Gleason.

Dick graduated from Rutgers University. He served in the Air Force, and throughout his career worked for General Electric, Mars Corporation, then Paine Webber as an investment broker.

He was actively involved in Education. Education was always important to Dick. He worked and volunteered with the local Chapter of KIPP schools, Habitat for Humanity, and was a member of Lakeside Lutheran Church, Lake Gaston Lions Club and Computer Club.

Dick was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Joan Gleason (Serre); sons, Jeffry Glen Gleason and Scott Robert Gleason; 2nd wife, Barbara Dewey Gleason; and 3rd wife, Delores Meleney.

He is survived by sons, Richard William Gleason Jr., Brian James Gleason and Clifford Thomas Gleason; daughter, Kimberly Ann Gleason-Jones; daughters-in-law, Darlene Lear Gleason and Kelly Tully Gleason; step-daughter, Lee Ann LeRouax Kozak; and step-sons, Donald and James Lerouax. He is a Grandfather of 21 and a Great-Grandfather of 28.

Dick made friends wherever he would go. He had a wit that brought many smiles to many people. Dick will be greatly missed by family and community.

The family would like to thank Liberty Health Hospice and Warren Hills nurses for the care and compassion they showed Dick during his final days. Our love goes out to LaToya, Rebecca, Jonette, Rita, Julie, Sherita, and Brianne. Thank you.
