Michael “Mike” Wayne Gillmer, 69, of Durham, North Carolina passed away on April 24, 2025. Born in Landstuhl, Germany, the son of Erene and Donald Gillmer, Mike will be remembered for his friendliness and levity, no matter the situation, and his impact on his community and those fortunate enough to know him.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Sara; son, Michael; and 5 grandchildren.
A service honoring Mike’s life will be held at Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church in Durham, North Carolina on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 3PM.
The family asks that a donation to the church’s general fund be made in lieu of flowers.
