Born in Venezuela, Margaret embraced the United States as her home and held a deep appreciation for the country where she and her family built their lives. She had a special affection for animals, particularly her cherished cats, but nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by her family.
Above all, Margaret's heart belonged to her husband, Luis. Married for 64 wonderful years, they shared a lifetime of love, companionship, and devotion. From their early years together in Mexico and then in Venezuela, to the life and family they built in the United States, they shared a remarkable journey filled with adventure, joy, and enduring commitment. Through life's many changes, their devotion to one another remained constant. Luis was her lifelong companion, greatest supporter, and the love of her life.
A gifted and passionate artist, Margaret owned and operated an art studio in Centreville, Virginia, for 31 years. Through her extraordinary talent and dedication to teaching, she inspired and enriched the lives of hundreds of students. Her studio was more than a place to learn art; it was a welcoming space where creativity flourished, friendships were formed, and students of all ages found encouragement and confidence in their abilities. Music was another of Margaret's great passions, and both her home and studio were always filled with it. She generously shared not only her artistic knowledge but also her warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in others.
Margaret leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her artwork, the countless students whose lives she touched, and the family she treasured so deeply. She will be remembered for her creativity, her generous spirit, her unwavering devotion to her husband, her boundless love for her family, and her steadfast faith in the Lord.
Though she will be deeply missed, her kindness, artistry, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A private Funeral Mass celebrating Margaret's life will held on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Cary, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Margaret's memory to support the missions of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church at https://onrealm.org/StMichaelArchangel/-/form/give/Offertory
