Kenneth Raymond Taylor Sr.

Kenneth was born on October 20, 1940 to Eldon Roy Taylor and Doris Iva Lane Taylor in Winterset, Iowa. He was the second eldest of four boys.

​Kenneth proudly served in two branches of the US Armed Forces - 4 years in the Air Force and 4 years in the Army, 82nd Airborne. After his military service, he joined the Alaska State Troopers until he retired in 1998 as a Tok Weight Scale Master. He moved to Fairbanks, Alaska in 2008 and then to Fayetteville, North Carolina in 2023 to marry Cheyenne LoneBear.

​Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents and his 3 brothers, Glen, Warren, and DJ.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Cheyenne of Fayetteville, NC; daughter, Kimberly Merriman and husband, James, and son, Justin, of Eagle River, AK; and son, Kevin Taylor of Fairbanks, AK. He is also survived by extended family of nieces and nephews in Alaska, Arizona, and Nevada.

​Kenneth will be remembered for his stories, humor, and his way of brightening a room. He enjoyed spending time with his fur babies and neighbors. He loved Western films and memorabilia.
