A beacon of unwavering friendship and kindness, Karon has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Pessolano and Ella Mae Pessolano; sister, Fran Pessolano; and 3 sons, Donald J. Schacht, Mikeal W. Schacht, and Martin R. Schacht.
She is survived by her brother, Jim Pessolano (Rachel); daughters-in-law, Kimberly (Donald’s wife) and Diane (Mikeal’s wife); grandchildren, Donald J. Schacht II (Rose), Joshua Schacht, Amber Harvey (Christopher), Austin Schacht (Erica), and Zachary Schacht; and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Shoreland Health Care and Retirement Center for their excellent care given to Karon.
A celebration of life is being planned for a future date.
