Winifred Ann Schwarcz (Koegel) came into the world on a chilly Syracuse, New York day, 31 January 1935. She left us on a breezy sunny day in Richmond Hill, Georgia (suburb of Savannah), 15 January 2025. As a very young woman she enjoyed entering beauty contests and won the titles of Miss Syracuse and New York State Fair Queen. She lived in Manhattan and Southampton, New York for many years. Fashion, music and travel were a few of her favorites. In the late 1980’s she moved to Boca Raton, Florida and lived at her beloved Polo Club for almost 40 years. Golf, parties, pool time and dinners were enjoyed by all.
Some family members who left before her are:
Her parents, Robert and Rita Koegel. Her son Daniel Percival. Grandson Andrew Chinnock. Sister Patricia Warlock. Nephew Kevin Warlock.
She married four times and they were:
Richard Percival. Billy Malin. Phil Kahl. Ron Schwarcz.
She was the oldest of six and four siblings remain.
Robert Koegel ( Mary Wogisch)
Mary Ellen Koegel
John Koegel (Julie)
Gene Koegel (Judy)
Her daughter Elizabeth Percival, granddaughter Brittney Chinnock and great granddaughter Reina Sanchez were at her side when she drifted off at home on that breezy sunny day, new ever after adventures awaiting in the great beyond.
A summertime party for Winifred will take place in the Syracuse area, details still to be determined.
Cheers!
