Bill was born in Cleveland, OH to Stanley and Cecelia Troha on November 11, 1950. He graduated from University of Dayton and University of Memphis. He married Mary Weatherwax in 1975. Bill taught school at Pembroke PInes Charter for 12 years and was "Teacher of the Year" in 2017. He loved his students, fellow teachers and administrators; he was very proud of their achievements. Mr. Pete Bayer, Bill's principal and dearest friend wrote, "I am so sorry for those of you that were close to him. I am even more sorry for those of you that didn’t get a chance to know him. You missed out on the best. Bill was an uncommonly kind and good man."
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, brother David Troha and brother-in-law Tony D’Agostino. He is survived by his wife Mary; sister Cecelia D’Agostino and brother Stanley Troha {Joanne); brothers-in-law Bill Weatherwax (Denise), James Weatherwax (Nikki), and Col. John Weatherwax (Wendy Thomas); sisters-in-law Jean Perry (Bob) and Judy Todd (Bruce); and his loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A Funeral Mass celebrated by Fr. Paul Vuturo will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018, 5 p.m. at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 200 N. University Dr., Plantation, FL. Following the Mass will be a Celebration of Life for Bill in the church from 6-8 p.m.
