William John Dunn

William “Bill” Dunn was born in Broomall, PA and graduated from St. Joseph’s University in 1974 with a degree in Food Marketing. Upon graduation, he moved to Fort Lauderdale where he worked in different areas of the hospitality industry. In 1985 he was hired by the Marriott Hotel Corporation where he worked for the next 25 years in Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, and Washington DC, where he met and married Claire Kanezo, the Love of his Life! After retiring he realized his life-long dream to return to South Florida and settled in Lauderdale by the Sea.

Bill loved the beach, horse racing, watching all sports, floating in the pool, traveling, and reading. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was witty and always gave friends a good chuckle and always kept Claire laughing.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Ida Mae Dunn, and brother Francis (Sandy) Dunn, III. Bill is survived by his wife of 32 years, Claire; brothers Charles, Timothy and Peter; sisters-in-law Cindy and Kathy; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life is planned for November.
