Vincent Coccoli, affectionately known as Vinny or Vin, was born on May 28, 1933, in Providence, Rhode Island, to proud parents Angelo and Rose (Comella) Coccoli. On November 16, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family, Vinny peacefully passed away in the arms of his devoted wife at the age of 90.
Vinny is survived by his loving wife Beverlee Waytysh Coccoli, and their children: Vincent, Michael (spouse Maria), Lisa Petitto, and Lisa Ling-Callahan. He was preceded in death by his son Marc. Vinny also leaves behind his sisters Anna Ivone, Jeannette Cardullo (spouse Peter), Marilyn Mattia, and Carol Walsh (spouse Vincent). In addition he leaves his loving granddaughter Jillian Naylor (spouse Michael); Vincent (spouse Veronica), Valentino, Vanessa, and Joseph Coccoli; Billy and Rachel Petitto; Ceraya Ahlling; Joshua (spouse Kimmee) , Alexandra and Brent Ling; as well as a host of beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
After high school, Vinny proudly served his country as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Nuremberg, Germany. His dedication to duty and service set the stage for a lifetime of commitment to family, community, and country. His resting place will be at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, preceded by a full military service to be announced at a future date.
Vinny embarked on a successful career as a realtor, spanning 42 years in Connecticut and Rhode Island. As the proud owner of the award-winning Coldwell Banker Realty 2000 Firm in Naugatuck, CT, Vinny's leadership and expertise earned him respect and admiration throughout the industry.
In 2014, Vinny retired and relocated to Florida with his beloved wife, where they enjoyed the warmth of the sun and the company of dear friends and family. Vinny's infectious smile, kind words, and genuine love for people endeared him to everyone he encountered. He was known for his compassion, love of life, unwavering faith in Jesus, and his passion for golf.
Vinny's legacy is etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His absence will be deeply felt, but the memories of his kindness, generosity, and zest for life will be cherished forever.
Vinny Coccoli, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace, and may his spirit continue to shine through the memories he created with those he loved.
Please join us for a celebration of Vinny's life on January 19, 2024, at 8:30am - a Mass of Intention will be held at St. Thomas Moore Church in Boynton Beach. Later the same day, from 4-7pm, a Memorial Tribute will be held at the Palm Beach Leisureville Clubhouse 1, located at 1007 Ocean Drive, Boynton Beach, FL.
