Simone Marie Orlando, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by love and grace. She was reunited in Heaven with her beloved mother, Jeanne Sweeney, on a day of peace and promise.
Born on July 24, 1961, on an Air Force base in Seville, Spain to Jeanne Sweeney, Simone brought light and joy to all who knew her. She married Augustine Orlando in December 10, 1982 and together they welcomed their son, Nicholas Orlando, in July 19, 1983 in Alabama. The family later made their home in Boca Raton, Florida, in 1984, where Simone became a cherished part of her community.
Simone’s life was marked by selfless love and unwavering faith. She found deep happiness in caring for others—especially her mother—and found joy in the simple pleasures of life: spending time with friends, creating memories with family, and nurturing those she loved.
As a mother and grandmother, she was gentle and wise, always placing her family at the center of her heart. She especially treasured her role as "Grandma" to her grandson, Justice Orlando, who brought her endless pride, laughter, and love.
Her legacy lives on in her son, Nicholas, her grandson, Justice, and in all who had the blessing of knowing her.
She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her warm presence, and her enduring faith that sustained her and those around her. Her life was a beautiful testament to grace, strength, and unconditional love.
A private family viewing will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM. A wake will follow at her home for close friends and family to gather in celebration of her life.
