Sharon Laraine Brewer

Sharon Laraine Brewer, of Prescott, AZ, passed through the veil on Thursday, October 19th, 2023. She lived a beautiful earthly life for 76 years, and now she lives on with other family that have gone before her. A loving wife, mom, sister, grandma, friend, and follower of Christ, Sharon began her earth life on December 27th, 1946 to parents Gerald & Virginia Linville, in Toledo, Ohio.

She grew up her whole early life and adulthood in Toledo, with her loving brother, Gerald Jr. (Uncle Sonny), and many great friends and family. As an early teen, she met and began to date her sweetheart, James A. Brewer, Sr. They were married, on February 28, 1965.

Jim and Sharon had three sons, Jim Jr., Jeff, and Joel. They raised them in the Toledo area until moving to Glendale, Az.in 1978. Sharon was a superdomestic hero, creating a loving home environment. She also worked in food service, managing a high school cafeteria in Glendale, working food service for a Prescott middle school, and also working for Costco.

Jim and Sharon lived their dream and opened a bed and breakfast in Prescott and operated it for 8 years. Along the way, they bought houses and made them into little heavens on earth and hosted family for many holiday gatherings.

Sharon was highly involved in volunteer activities, mostly in retirement homes, giving hundreds of hours of her time. In Prescott, she was very active in her Christian church, again donating many hours of service as a greeter. Her warm smile and heart were perfect for this position.

Sharon is the grandma to eight grandchildren and one newly born great-granddaughter.

She loved her family so very much and devoted much time and travel to attend family events. She never missed a birthday or large event and even wrote a personal journal for each of her grandchildren.

With her struggle with dementia, she had many loving friends in Prescott and abroad who helped her and her husband, as well as many family members who served them with love and prayers. Her family wishes to thank them for their compassion.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Prescott, AZ on December 9th, 2023 at the LDS Church, 1001 Ruth Street.
