RoseMarie Gonzales, 88, of Boca Raton, Florida, died with family at her side on December 17, 2024. She was born on November 20,1936 in Donora, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and Jennie (Puia) Yocolano. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Gonzales, (Apples), her parents, her son Richard Edward Gonzales, her brothers John and Manual and sister-in-law Grace Yocolano. Catholic by faith, she was married to Richard for 65 years until he died on February 15, 2022. She is survived by four children, two daughters, Gina Limes (Dale) of Westerville, Ohio, Ramona Aliseo (Joseph) of Boca Raton Florida, and two sons John Manuel Gonzales (Anne) of Westerville, Ohio, and Anthony Richard Gonzales (Lisa) of Boca Raton, Florida. She is also survived by two sisters, Sarah Natali (Dave) of Donora, Pennsylvania and Frances Yocolano of Carol Township, Pennsylvania. (sadly, Frances passed away shortly after Rose on January 5, 2025), one brother, Eugene Yocolano (Kathy) of Warren Ohio, and a sister-in-law Eunice Yocolano of Victory Hill, Pennsylvania.
RoseMarie has eight grandchildren, Amy Ooten (Larry) of Galena Ohio, Jeff Limes (Nassia) of Westminster Colorado, Jennifer Selder (Chris) of Chandler Arizona, Lois Bracken (Zack) of Delaware Ohio, Richard Gonzales (Alina) of New Albany Ohio, and Joseph, Michael, and Annabella Rose Gonzales of Boca Raton. Florida. She also has three great-grandchildren, Ava Rose and Elijah Ren of Galena, Ohio and CJ Selder of Chandler, Arizona. She has two step grandchildren Joseph Aliseo (Katie) and their newborn, Lucas of Port St. Lucie, Florida and James Aliseo of Boynton Beach, Florida.
RoseMarie graduated from Donora Senior High School in 1954. She worked at the Donora Mellon Bank, Columbia Federal and Colorado State Bank in Denver, and retired from JM Family Enterprises in Deerfield Beach, Florida. RoseMarie was an avid tennis player for more than 30 years, playing in many leagues and tournaments in Ohio, Colorado, and Florida. For several years she operated the family sandwich and ice cream store “Tony’s Delite” in Loggers Run in West Boca Raton, Florida.
A celebration of life for both Richard and RoseMarie will be held Saturday, February 1, at 2 pm at the Babione Funeral Home, 10060 Calle Comercio Drive in Boca Raton, Florida 33428. Friends and family are welcome.
RoseMarie and Richard will be joining their son, Richard Edward Gonzales, in a final resting place, as their ashes will be placed on his grave in Tampa, Florida allowing them to be together eternally.
Instead of flowers, gifts may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, which was her favorite charity, or Hospice of Palm Beach County, Trustbridge, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407, who took excellent care of RoseMarie until she passed.
