Robert Miles Clark (Rob) of Wilton Manors, FL, passed away on Thursday, 07 September 2023 at the age of 80. He was born in Ayer, MA, on 14 July 1943 where he grew up in an extended, loving family. His July 14th birthday also gave him ample opportunity to joyfully celebrate Bastille Day.
Rob graduated from the University of Maryland.
He retired after 20 years as a contract manager for the IBRD (World Bank) having previously worked in the travel industry for Northwest Airlines, Pan Am and American Express: all in Washington, DC.
Rob, until his passing, traveled extensively around the world. In his early 20s, in addition to joining the Navy Reserves, he earned a private pilot’s license, hoping to join a regional airline in the cockpit, but the number of pilots returning from Vietnam did not make that dream possible. Through the years, he and his husband enjoyed sailing their boat, Aeolus, on the Chesapeake and chartering in the Caribbean; skiing; he enjoyed doing The Times (London) Samurai Su Doku; reading; cooking; and keeping up with family and friends. He had a passion and gift for the Tarot and was astute at reading the cards.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Colleen née Sistini; his father, Rolf Caspersen, and his stepfather, Richard Clark.
Rob is survived by his spouse of 50 years, John M Stull, stepson Joshua and wife Ann, and brother Mark R Clark.
Rob wishes were to be cremated and his ashes scattered at sea.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
