Mr. Sunday passed away on March 2nd after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Geri; daughters, Christine Desjardins and Andrea Hallett; stepson, Christopher McInnis; brother, Tom Sunday of New Kingston, PA and sister, Jill Bartoli of Carlisle, PA; grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Sunday grew up in central Pennsylvania (near Harrisburg), graduated from Penn State University with a BSEE, and moved to the greater Boston area for work. At RCA, he was part of the team that built the electronic controls for the Lunar Excursion module that landed Neil Armstrong on the Moon. After 7 years as a design engineer, he moved into technical sales and marketing of computers and computer related hardware, culminating in managing the Eastern Region (Canada to Puerto Rico) for Seagate Technology. After 20+ years of heavy travel both in-territory and to home offices in Northern California, it was time to venture into something requiring less travel, namely commercial real estate. With Broker Licenses in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts he formed a partnership which later turned into a sole proprietorship company offering sales, leasing, and property management services for commercial properties. He also held a Broker’s License in commercial real estate in Florida. On the personal side, interests over the years included music (he played 4 instruments), alpine skiing (NSPS for 10+ years), boating, golf, and camping. Civic activities have included the Rockingham Planning Commission (chairman), New Hampshire Commercial-Investment Real Estate Board (president), and founder of New Hampshire’s’ first commercial multiple listing service, director of the Glen Ellen Property Owners Protective Association (a slope side ski resort community that is now part of the Sugarbush Ski Resort complex in Vermont), and treasurer of the Crystal Lake Golf Villas II HOA in Pompano Beach, FL In 2003 Mr. Sunday and his lovely wife Geri decided to take a 3 month sabbatical down the eastern seaboard ostensibly to scout out potential places to retire someday. They never made it back North! The combination of the warm weather and the discovery of Crystal Lake culminated in their purchase of their current home on December 31, 2003. Mr. Sunday was a licensed real estate broker in Florida and spent most of his time in Property Management. The family has suggested that if anyone would like to make a donation in his name, the donation can be made to the Univ. of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center, Deerfield Beach, FL or Miami Transplant/Jackson Memorial Health System, Miami, FL.
