It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Howell Faulkner, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and family man, whose life touched so many through his kindness, gentleness, and generosity, and the way he made others feel seen and loved.
Raymond lived a life marked by dedication to the people he cared about most. He was a man who valued family deeply and found joy in the simple but meaningful moments of life, spending time with those he loved and leaving behind memories that will be treasured forever.
Those who knew Raymond will remember him for his gentle strength, his godly character, his trustworthiness, his unwavering commitment to his wife and children, and the many ways he showed up for the people in his life. He had a way of leaving an impression on others, whether through his wisdom, his steady presence, or the little things he did that reminded everyone how much he cared.
Above all, Raymond loved the Lord and his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and countless memories that will continue to live on through those who knew him best. Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his family finds comfort in knowing that the impact he made will never fade.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 46 years and 359 days, Birdie Jean Faulkner, 5 daughters and 1 son, his son in laws, daughter in law, 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved him. He will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the love he gave so freely and the lasting mark he left on the hearts of others.
As we celebrate Raymond’s life, we remember a man who was deeply loved and will be deeply missed. The fact that he is in the presence of his Savior gives those who love him a peace that passes all understanding.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
