

Late of West Palm Beach, Florida, Hollywood, California, and Spain, who was born in Hartford,
Connecticut on August 2, 1927 and who died on July 31, 2019, in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Peter was predeceased by his wife Mimi Barnett, and by his sister, Betsy Parasheles Terenzi.
Our beloved, charming Uncle Peter is lovingly survived by his sister Sultana Volaitis, his 5
nieces, one nephew, 8 grand nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Peter was a Word War II Army veteran and an American Cinema Editors film editor (see https://
www.imdb.com/peterparasheles). He worked with Orson Welles filming Chimes at Midnight in
Spain during the Franco years.
Peter's hobbies included photography, travel, bicycling, painting, cooking, chess, rescuer of
wounded sea turtles, and a wine and food connoisseur.
Peter belonged to the following organizations: Life Member of the Motion Picture and
Videotape Editors Guild; and was a founding member of the ROMEO (Really Old Men Eating
Out ) Club.
He will be remembered in a Service at a later date in Massachusetts.
