OH NO!!! My twin brother, Chris & I were just talking about him & now I see that he died on our birthday! He was a best friend to our dad, William Hupfeldt, & God-father to our brother, Billy.
What a sweet & very talented man!! And what fabulous memories!!
I am SO very grateful that I visited him a couple of years ago!!

I met Otis, and Duane, in Key West during the winter of 1987.  I performed in Otis’s premier of Lookin’ Up as a construction worker.  We remained friends for years, catching up in Ongunquit, key west, and NYC until the e-mails and notes stopped.  I’ve been doing random searches for a while as to his status in life and just learned today that he passed away.  My thoughts to all his family and especially to Duane.  I’ll miss you dreadfully my friend.

I just learned of dear Otis’ passing. He and I were friends since 1968. He always understood my love of theater and with kindness and generosity shared his career with me. I last spoke with him over the Christmas holiday in 2020 and it was as though time had never passed. I will miss his candor and his joy at what he did, may God’s blessings be with him and the family.
