Myrna Neugesser passed away on August 10, 2026, at the age of 88, in Boca Raton, Florida. She died peacefully holding the hand of her wife, Eileen. Myrna was a devoted wife to Eileen, a loving mother to Adam (Kal) and Jaime (Tom); loving aunt of David (Sherry) and Bari (Darren) and so proud to be the grandmother of Matthew (Ashley Anne), David (Katie), Ethan, Lhaden (Nic), Neema, and great-grandmother of Sophia. She lived a full and meaningful life devoted to her family and loved ones, and she treasured the many generations of family who surrounded her.
Myrna was a brilliant person and educator. As an educator, Myrna dedicated herself to teaching and helping others, leaving a lasting impression on the many students, colleagues, friends, and families whose lives she touched. Those who knew Myrna appreciated her dry sense of humor and sharp wit.
Myrna loved deeply. Her family first and foremost, followed by her friends and the people who were important to her. She loved in a steady, enduring way and she was loved back with the same fierceness.
Myrna’s warmth, devotion, wisdom, and love for her family will remain an enduring part of her legacy and she will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
She is survived by her wife of 54 years, Eileen, who treasures her memory and will miss her sorely.
