

He was born on July 8, 1938 to Andrew and Bridgit White in Ireland, and came to America in the 1960’s as an employee of Griffith’s Electronics. He later worked for, and retired from, IBM in Arizona and Florida, and after retirement, he spent several years working for Publix.
Michael was a talented musician, his main instrument being the accordion. He was taught to play by his mother at the age of 8. He proudly played with The Broward County Mummers String Band for many years. He was a member of The Robert Sharon Chorale for several years, and also volunteered his time and music at TrustBridge Hospice and area nursing homes.
Michael was a friend of Bill W’s and spent the past 17 years attending meetings and extending his hand in fellowship to those in need. He also attended CrossBridge Church in Boca Raton, Florida, and was an avid motorcyclist starting at the age of 14.
Michael was preceded in death by both of his parents and his sister Moira Kiernan, and is survived by his daughter, Pamela White, former wife, Margaret Driscoll, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Christian Service and Celebration of Life for Irish Mike will take place on Saturday, August 21, 2021, 1pm at United Church of Christ, Church on The Hill, 251 SW Fourth Ave
Boca Raton, Florida.
A brief reception will follow the service in the adjacent hall.
