
Martin L. Stemler, Jr. of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away Tues., April 2, 2024, at the age of 80. Martin was born in Easton, Pennsylvania and grew up in the historic village of Durham, Pennsylvania in a house built in 1727. Like his ancestors, some of whom settled in this country in 1709, Martin was a patriot who loved his country. He was an active member of the Southwest Broward Republican Organization and had been an active member of Americans for Prosperity.
Martin graduated from Palisades High School, Upper Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where he was class president and competed in wrestling and track and field events. He attended Chamberlayne Jr. College, Boston, Massachusetts (later merged with Mt. Ida College, Massachusetts) and attended classes at Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Martin focused his career on sales and management for a variety of organizations as well as his own small business. He was a talented amateur photographer, creative cook, and enthusiastic football fan. Marty enjoyed the music of Janis Joplin, Eagles, and Santana.
Martin is preceded in death by his parents, the late Martin L. Stemler and Kathryn Nicholas (Riegal) Stemler; his deeply mourned son, Martin Stemler, III; a half-sister, Thelma L. Stemler; half-brother, Gerald Woerner; and nephew, Jamie R. Stemler.
Martin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Suzanne K. (Beshore) Stemler; beloved son, Brant E. Stemler, of Pembroke Pines; grandchildren Joshua C. Stemler and family of Davenport, Iowa; Paige K. Stemler of Davenport; brother, Ronald L. Stemler, of Bolton Landing, New York; and niece Julie (Stemler) Ross of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Marty was a loving husband and father and steady friend. Requiescat in pace.
