Marolyn was born and raised in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. Growing up, she loved going to work with her dad, day trips to New York City with her mom, spending time with her two sisters and brother, and traveling. Her love for travel spilled over into her career choice. After college she joined Eastern Airlines as a flight attendant, which led to moving to Florida and meeting her husband. They spent much of their early married life entertaining friends, enjoying evenings in the backyard by the lake, and embarking on travel adventures.
Marolyn’s focus in life changed with the birth of her daughters. For the rest of her life, Marolyn would be a dedicated mother first and foremost, making her family the center of her world. This culminated with her most recent role as a doting grandmother. Whenever she took time for herself, she made trips around the world (literally) and visited exotic destinations like Singapore, Budapest, and the jungles of Peru.
She is survived by her husband John, daughter Courtney and husband Gonzalo, daughter Caitlin and husband Mike, along with four adoring grandchildren, Marco, Alana, Kenzie, and Carter John. Marolyn will be forever loved and remembered for her selfless nature and kindness by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Marolyn would want you to keep the tradition alive of making the most out of life; live in today and do not waste a minute. Make a toast in her honor on your next adventure. A celebration of her life will be planned in South Florida at a later date.
