Maria Del Carmen Pla

Maria del Carmen Pla, 55 of Key Largo, FL, died June 3, 2017. She was born May 11, 1962, in Cuba, to Oreste and Irene Pla. Maria enjoyed gardening, cooking, dancing and singing. Her 2 daughters were her pride and joy. She loved cuddling with Ava, watching Lauren’s plays, and taking long drives up the Pacific Coast Highway with them. Shopping and dining out were pleasures and her artistic ability through her water color painting was a hobby she enjoyed. The outdoors was appreciated and she loved to go boating on The Bay in Key Largo or simply watch the rain. Maria was predeceased by her father, Oreste Pla, and is survived by her mother, Irene Pla of Key Largo; brother Juan Carlos Pla of Garden Grove, CA; daughters Lauren Maria Jenkins of Key Largo, and Ava Carolina Jenkins of Playa Del Rey, CA. A service celebrating Maria’s life was held on June 12, 2-17 at Church of the Nazarene in Key Largo.
