Born in 1936 in Gnadenhutten, Ohio, Lynda was the daughter of Jimmy and Leota (Myers) Weston. She moved from Cincinnati, Ohio to Florida in 1969, where she held several jobs, including working as a dental assistant. Eventually, she found her true calling at Ormond Beach Junior High, where she became a familiar and friendly face as an administrative assistant for many years. Lynda retired in the early 2000s and enjoyed her later years surrounded by friends, family, and the Florida sunshine.
Lynda was married to Lewis Joseph Janes, who passed away in 2014. She is survived by her three children: Beth Ellen (Janes) Robins and husband, Donald, of Ormond Beach; Lynn Marie (Janes) Smith and husband, Robert, of Daytona Beach; and Thomas Edward Janes and wife, Brea, of Port Saint Lucie. She is also survived by her brother, Ron Weston, and his wife, Babs, of Clayton, Georgia.
She leaves behind five grandchildren: Matthew Robins, Dana Harbinson, Jennifer Bennett, Brian Bennett, and the late Justin Janes; as well as three great-grandchildren: Matthew Rodriguez, Mackenzie Harbinson, and Ryan Harbinson.
Lynda found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, relaxing on the beach, and caring for her dogs. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and a cherished friend to all who knew her. Her kindness, laughter, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
