Lucke has had a remarkable career, with a strong foundation in both the telecommunications and hospitality industries. Her experience in navigating government regulations would have given her a solid grasp of operational structure and efficiency.
After her early retirement, Lucke shifted into the hospitality industry, where her leadership and managerial skills clearly shone. Moving to Lauderdale by the Sea, she managed Mac's Groves, followed by leadership at the Village Grill and Pump. It seems her entrepreneurial spirit and attention to detail played a big role in the success of these ventures.
As one of the original founders, designer, and general manager of the Beachside Village Resort, Lucke’s influence extended well beyond the day-to-day operations, contributing to the overall design and vision of the resort. Her leadership helped the Beachside Village Resort gain notable recognition, including multiple TripAdvisor awards, ranking as one of the top 10 hotels in the world, as well as receiving the Choice Award and "Best of the Best" honors.
