Lascelles Lloyd Townsend

Lascelles LIoyd Townsend of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the age of 88. He was born on September 14, 1935, in Kingston, Jamaica, where he grew up. He emigrated to England in March 1957 and became a naturalized citizen of the United States of America in December 2008. Lascelles worked as Telecommunications Manager for Le Meridien Hotel, London. He was energized by family and friends, had a passion for music, loved to dance, always had a keen eye for fashion and lived a rich and colorful life.

He is preceded in death by his wife Hermine Natasha Townsend, who passed away on May 27 of 2023; as well as his first grandson Kurtis Townsend, who passed away on December 15, 2001.

He is survived by his sons Mark and Troy Townsend; his sister Lilieth Townsend; nieces Angela Williams, Claudette Jordan, Sandra Sewell, and Colleen Perkins; nephews Carlos Thompson, Cyril Thompson, and Dave Perkins; cousins Lance and Andrew Nicolson; granddaughters Nicole, Nadine, and Jade Renee Townsend; grandsons Tashon, Andros and Darryl Townsend; great-grandchildren Raeya, Aria, Macie, Andros, and Kaia; Daughters-in-law Katerina Erodotou and Angelique Grygorcewicz-Townsend; goddaughter Paula Simone Campbell; and his very close friend Judy Campbell.
