At the age of 20, Kip moved from Wisconsin to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he spent the remainder of his life. He worked for many years as a talented chef, a career he loved, until health challenges made it impossible to continue. Kip courageously battled a series of serious illnesses—including cancer, lupus, a stroke, and a brain bleed—facing each one with strength and resilience until his heart could no longer carry the weight.
Kip was known for his generous spirit and the deep care he showed for others. Whether offering a listening ear, nursing a friend back to health, or lifting someone’s spirits, Kip always put others first. He had a vibrant love for life and found joy in entertaining, decorating, creating floral arrangements, and designing beautiful cakes. Surprising friends with thoughtful gestures and spontaneous parties was one of his greatest pleasures.
Among his many passions, travel was at the top. His favorite journey was to Australia to witness his beloved niece’s wedding—a memory he cherished deeply.
Kip will be profoundly missed by his family and the many friends whose lives he touched. He is survived by his brothers, Kevin Kimball (Gloria Leque) of Manitowoc and Kelly Kimball (Lindee) of Fond du Lac; nieces Jolinn (Dan) Ennis and Daniell Thill; and great-nephews Silas, James, and Evren. He also leaves behind two dear friends, Daryll Davis and Lazero Gomez.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Chuck and Kory; and a close friend, Ray Lewis.
Per Kip’s wishes, no formal memorial service will be held. Instead, he asked that you raise a glass in his honor and reflect on a favorite memory—celebrating a life lived with heart, humor, and deep love.
